Swim levels are broken up by age and ability.

Preschool Swim Lessons (Ages 3–5)

Tadpole

Must be at least 3 years old to be in this class

Pollywog

Must be able to do these skills:

  1. Crawl Stroke the length vertically without assistance
  2. Float on Front & Back without assistance
  3. Jump from the side with our without assistance into the pool
  4. Kick on Front and Back without assistance
  5. Comfortable in deep end with bubble
Guppy

Must be able to do these skills:

  1. Crawl Stroke the width without bubble
  2. Back Stroke the width without bubble
  3. Elementary Back Stroke the width without bubble
  4. Breast Stroke arms the length with bubble
  5. Kneel Dives
  6. Jumps in deep end no assistance

School-Aged Swim Lessons (Ages 6–18)

Beginner

Must be at least 6 years of age to be in this class

Advanced Beginner

Must be able to do these skills: (One/two bubbles)

  1. Back & Front Floats
  2. Kick 50 yards with kickboard
  3. Crawl stroke pool width without bubble
  4. Elementary Backstroke
  5. Jump in Deep End
Intermediate

You must be able to do these skills: (no bubble)

  1. Kick with rotary breathing holding kick board
  2. Elementary Back Stroke 50 yards
  3. Crawl stroke with rotary Breathing 25 yards
  4. Backstroke 25 yards
  5. Standing Dive
Adv. Swimmer

You must be able to do these skills: (no bubble)

  1. Elementary Back Stroke 50 yards
  2. Crawl Stroke 50 yards rotary breathing
  3. Back Stroke 50 yards
  4. Breast Stroke 50 yards
  5. Standing Dive off starting blocks
*Flying Fish

You must be able to do these skills: (no bubble)

  1. Crawl Stroke 75 yards rotary breathing
  2. Back Stroke 75 yards
  3. Breast Stroke 75 yards
  4. Butterfly 50 yards

* 1 hour, 15 minute class; 8-week session is $120)

Different Strokes (Ages 3–10)

This program is loosely structured class, where as they will cover skills for a portion of the class then incorporate them into a game. The number of sign-ups we take is dependent on the number of volunteers we get.

  • Homeschool: You must be 6 years old to be in this class
  • Yard = 1 length of the pool (75 feet)
  • Width = 35 feet
  • Rotary Breathing = Breathing toboth sides with face in water

Assessments are Monday – Friday at 3:30pm. All you have to do is sign in at the front desk and then head to the pool. Let one of the lifeguards know you are there for an assessment.
